The standard packages are 500 m or 4 km per reel. Longer lengths are available on request.
Which anchoring clamps can I use with this cable?
ACOME has tested these overhead cables with products available on the French market. We perform specific tests to evaluate each clamp/cable pairing. Please contact us for information about which products are officially approved for use with our cable.
Can this cable be used in geographic regions with high temperatures? Yes, our cable can withstand temperatures of up to 70°C.
Can this cable be used in geographic regions with low temperatures?
Yes, our cable can withstand temperatures as low as -40°C.
The external part of the cable (in black HDPE) is made for use outdoors and is thus not concerned. The indoor subscriber cable is in compliance with the European Construction Products Regulation (CPR) which defines the rules for approving a cable for use inside a building.
What are the different ways my cable can be installed?
The cable can be installed overhead, underground, in cable sheaths and in walls
What fibre counts are available for this cable?
This cable is available in 1-, 2- and 4-fibre solutions.
What is the maximum possible distance between the Optical Connection Point (OCP) and the building?
As a general rule, the OCP is placed no further than 100 m from the building, but in some cases, especially in rural areas, the distance can be longer. The cable can handle long distances as long as the rule regarding spacing between each post is complied with (max. 50 m).
Is it normal for the cable to only contain one fibre?
Yes, as this will depend on the area where it is deployed. For example, it can contain up to four fibres in densely populated areas (high-density zones/pockets). It contains one or two fibres in sparsely populated areas (low-density zones/pockets) and moderately populated areas. It can be installed with a 1-, 2- or 4-fibre cable, an Optical Termination Outlet and an Internal Optical Network Termination Device.
There are kits available for Optical Termination Outlets with subscriber cables (KIB4804) and for Internal Optical Network Termination Devices (KIB4805).
Do you need a tool to open the cable?
There is a video available that demonstrates how to handle the cable. Click here to view it
What is the bend radius of the interior cable?
This cable has a fixed bend radius of 50 mm.
Can it conform to the contours of skirting boards and doorways?
This cable contains a compact subscriber cord that can be installed along skirting boards and doorways with very sharp corners. This is made possible by the fact that the G657A2 fibre is used which is not affected by bending.
Can it be installed overhead and underground at the same time?
This cable can be installed both overhead and underground on the same line.
Can it be installed on any operator’s network?
Yes, this cable complies with the standards defined by ARCEP, a French agency that regulates telecommunications in France, and with the XPC 93-850-6-22 standard.
