Creation of the Environmental Manager position for France
Quality, HSE and performance are based on the same continuous improvement approach, which is certified ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 45001, Safety standard (Health and Safety at Work) or ISO 13485 (medical devices).
The Group's quality policy aims to ensure the same quality standards for all our customers on all four continents. It is based on three main commitments: customer satisfaction, process control and the pursuit of operational excellence on a daily basis.
The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification complements ACOME's quality management system in France and secures export operations.
To improve its CSR performance, ACOME conducted a materiality analysis in 2021 and identified its main challenges. This evaluation makes it possible to take into account the social and environmental issues faced by an essentially cooperative manufacturer operating on four continents.
The group has thus identified four priorities:
• Putting employees at the heart of the system;
• Being a reliable and efficient industrial company;
• Being attentive and at the service of its customers and partners;
• Providing a responsible offer to reduce the environmental footprint of its products.
Created in 2006, the CSR Committee monitors CSR action plans. Composed of ten members representing the Group's various functions and businesses, it meets once every quarter.
ACOME has entrusted EcoVadis with the assessment of its CSR. In 2021, the Group obtained the "Gold" label with a score of 71/100. It is thus ranked in the top 1% of companies in the "cable and wiring device manufacturing" sector.
Its accession to the United Nations Global Compact in 2005 is a founding act for ACOME, in line with its humanist and cooperative values. This commitment focuses on ten universally accepted principles concerning human rights, labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption, which ACOME undertakes to respect in all its activities and countries where the Group operates.
