Renewal of the testing laboratory’s accreditation

Accredited by Cofrac, ACOME's laboratory is one of the first in France to meet the new requirements of the IEC 17025 standard version 2017.

The fire testing and qualification laboratory, integrated into the Mortain industrial site, has renewed its accreditation through Cofrac. Upon completion of the follow-up audit, it has become one of the very first laboratories in France to be accredited according to the new version of the IEC 17025 standard (applicable since 1 January 2019).

This accreditation guarantees the conformity of the quality system and the qualification of personnel to conduct fire performance tests specific to the electrical field. It serves as recognition of our competence and confers official status to the tests carried out in the ACOME laboratory. The testing programme designed as part of new CPR-certified product development for incorporating sustainability into buildings and infrastructure is an example of this.

It should be recalled that ISO/IEC 17025 is an international standard applicable to all analytical, testing and calibration laboratories.
