ACOME participated in the World Skills Competition

Support for the candidate from Normandy in the "Ultra-Fast Broadband Network Wiring” category.

As part of an international business competition, ACOME supported the candidate from Normandy and provided the necessary equipment for the events in the "Ultra-Fast Broadband Network Wiring" category.

As the world's largest professional competition, the World Skills Competition promotes excellence and professional expertise from new generations. Young talent from all over the world compete under time constraints and in real-world conditions to build productions concentrating the technical difficulties of their respective professions.

The candidate supported by ACOME joins the French team

As part of this international competition, ACOME is supporting the Norman candidate, Angelo Masclet, in the category "Ultra-Fast Broadband Network Wiring".

Gold medallist in the regional events, Angelo was trained by the training centre Novea, specialised in Ultra-Fast Broadband wiring techniques, with the technical support of our trainers, Thierry Dodard and Patrick Auvray. ACOME also provided the necessary equipment and materials for the event.

After taking the lead in the national competition in Caen, the young Norman joins the French team for the international competition in Russia in 2019.

Spotlight on the competition

More than 700 young professionals under 23 years of age competed in 57 occupations at the French National Finals of the 45th World Skills Competition. Organised by the Normandy Region, they took place in Caen from 29 November to 1 December 2018.

The world finals (World Skills) will be held in Kazan, Russia, in August 2019. The European finals (Euro Skills) will be held in Graz, Austria, in 2020.
